My weekend,

I'm getting the taste of life with preteens this weekend, I am having my sister - Kristin (13), niece - Malory (12), and of course, my child- Anna Kate (3) who thinks she is as big as they are and she is totally floating on air about spending time with her two favorite girls in the world. This should be interesting, but fun and great bonding time for us all.., or am I just nuts, you decide, LOL! I'm sure I will have some fun pics and stories to share.

News on Dad,

My Dad's recent biopsy on his leg revealed that it was cancerous, so next Friday (1-11) he is to have another PET scan and MRI, this is to see if it has spread anywhere else. This will also involve a brain scan. As you know he is receiving treatment (chemo and radiation) for lung cancer, which also involves one lymph node from the beginning diagnosis, now this tumor was found in his leg and removed, so PLEASE remember him in your prayers.

Congratulations Jeremy and Stacie Cain on your new daughter 'Kylie Morgan'! Also congratulations to Laurie and Bubba the grandparents, Happy Birthday Nana Cain! How awesome that she was born on your birthday, can't possibly receive a more precious gift than that.

Candyland,

Anna Kate received the board game Candyland for Christmas, I think it is almost every childs first game to learn to play. She did very well for her first time, she sat through the entire game, didn't fuss when others took their turns, could play with little coaching, I was impressed at how well she knew her colors, and she WON!

Starting out a New Year,

The Carter's are starting the New Year with COLDS, (eeeww, yucky), yes, all three of us, but one thing is for sure, it can only get better, so we have that to look forward to! My Dad's biopsy results will be back end of this week, please pray for the turn out on this and I will keep you posted.
