Here's to a New Year!

Looking forward to a new year, prayerfully. As you know my Dad is batteling cancer and of course we do not know what lies ahead, please remember him in your prayers and all of us who love him. My baby Anna Kate is turning four years old and will begin pre-school in the new year, talking about time flying! And, oh my goodness, this will be the year I turn 30!!! Bubba will be starting a new job soon and attending school, (Pipefitter and Welders Union), so this will be a challenge for him, but a good change with so much potential ahead. As my Mom's post said lets all pray for eachother in this new year ahead, everything is made better with prayer and faith. I think my resolution is to just do the best I can and be the best person I can be, that should be challenge enough for any of us, HA! Happy New Year to you all!

Prayer Request,

Please remember my Dad in your prayers, the chemo is paying its toll on him and now a place has come up on his knee, they did a scan of it and feel it necessary to biopsy. I am relying on God to see us through this and trying to leave things in his hands, it's hard, so pray for God to give me strength as well.

What a gift we were given with the gift of Jesus Christ, through all the hustle and bustle we must not lose focus of the real meaning of Christmas and we should teach our children about the most valued things at this time of the year, which is the birth of Jesus and the gift of family.

Malory, Anna Kate, Mom, and I went to lunch at Cracker Barrel today, (by the way ornaments are 40% off right now, very cute ones), we then headed to Mayfield Dairy Farms in Athens, TN., got there at 2:30, the darn place closes at 2:00 on Saturday's, figures, anyway, we went to a coffee shop called 'The Beanery' very good, right up there with Starbuck's but cheaper. On the way back home we decided last minute to see 'The ChipmunkMovie'. It was cute, I love their little voices as I mentioned in a previous post. Theodore stole my heart, he had a much better part in this movie, he was sweet and innocent. Go see it, you'll come out smiling I promise.

He looks like anything but a King. His face is prunish and red. His cry though strong and healthy, is still the cry of a baby. And He is absolutely dependant upon Mary for his well-being.

Majesty in the midst of the mundane. Holiness in the filth of sheep manure and sweat. Divinity entering the world on the floor of a stable, through the womb of a teenager and in the presence of a carpenter.

Our Saturday,

Mom and I took Anna Kate to Chattanoooga Choo Choo (yes I'm a hunting widow again) to have her picture made with Santa, it was really a nice set up which was Victorian looking and in a sleigh. Anna Kate was more than happy to tell the big guy what she wanted for Christmas. We walked around the Choo Choo afterwards, had lunch at TGI Friday's, then strolled past the EPB's windows to see the displays of all the animated Christmas decorations, (this is a tradition which my Mom said she did even when she was little), WOW it's been going on a long time, just kidding Mom! So keep a look out because I will be posting Anna Kate's pics soon as I get them back. We're going to have a scrumptous dessert and coffee out somewhere as dinner tonight and take Anna Kate riding around to see Christmas lights.
