Ladies Tea,

Mom and I went to a Ladies Christmas Tea tonight at our friend Chelsey's Church . We had an enjoyable time in fellowship with other Christian women. We were served dinner and enjoyed comedy, drama, and music. Each individual table was hosted by different women, it was interesting to see how each used their imagination and personal flair. Chelsey did a great job on her table. Thank you for asking us to be your guest Chelsey, we enjoyed it very much.

Hello,

I have been a hunting widow this weekend, but still had a good one. My Mom and I spent time with two of her dearest friends, they have been part of my life as long as I can remember too, it was nice visits with lots of laughs. We did out Starbucks run again ( will be glad when you can join us Jamie), tried the peppermint mocha latte this time. We took Anna Kate to see the movie 'Enchanted', it was cute, Patrick Dempsey acting in it made it very pleasant to watch. I've enjoyed being off from work for a long weekend even though I was sick part of the time. Did some shopping too, didn't tackle the crowd on black Friday though. Hope you all had a good weekend!

Thanksgiving hangover...,

Thanksgiving night, yes the food was wonderful, desserts devine, why do I feel like I should go waller in some mud, hmmmm, could it be the second piece of pie maybe? To beat it all I have tonsilitis and pretty much feel the need to hybernate. What could the combo of a pig and bear be called? ( a BIG, a PEAR) with a sore throat, that's exactly how I'm feel'n and how are you? hehe

Rock City's Enchanted Lighs,

The tradition continues, we have taken Anna Kate to see all the pretty lights each year, I think she will really be into it this year more so than years passed and she loved it even then.

Santa shopping and parade,

Mom and I went to an outlet mall today, K&B Toy store was having a buy 3 get 1 free at their going out of business sale, Santa lucked up this year. This will be such a fun Christmas with Anna Kate. My Nana kept her while we went, Mom bought Anna Kate a ponytail with beads on it at Claire's as her surprise (we always have to bring surprises if she doesn't get to go somewhere with us), she immediately had to put it on and adore herself in the mirror. We took her to a Christmas Parade tonight too as a second surprise, she had so much fun, it was a long parade. I got flogged by candy that Santa was throwing with quite force into the crowd, ho-ho-ho 'yo mama fat guy, hehe. Anna Kate wore that silly ponytail the entire parade and to dinner at Cracker Barrel too, she said everyone would think she was a princess. One man called her a movie star, she whole heartily felt she was, my little ham.

Bubba (The Great White Hunter) got a Buck, his is so excited.

Dad's Birthday

Today is my Dad's birthday, we celebrate it with a different feeling this year, happy he is here to celebrate and with a prayer he will have many more, so it's bitter sweet. He has started to lose hair now, this makes it all the more real for me and those of us who see him. Remember him in your prayers that God's will be done, in my heart I hope that it means many more years with us. Dad has fought his demons in past years but has really changed a lot over the past year, all for the better, I just hope he has the chance to enjoy this change, he is truly my sister Kristin's saving grace, we've all enjoyed a closer relationship. So many have offered their love and christian support. My Nana's Sunday School class took up a love offering to help with his medical expenses as his medicine's aren't covered, I was shocked at how much was given. My Nana is giving him a couch and chair since she just purchased new ones, it will make him proud of his place and give him pride in it. My PaPaw has given him clothes which are the kind for comfort during this time of treatments (my PaPaw is a cancer survivor and understands what it's like to fight this battle), Johnny and my cousin Chuck are loading the furniture at Nana's up to take it to him. My Mom has been there for me and offers her full support in all aspects. Christ's love is shining through and I'm so thankful. Dad continues to have a good outlook and seems to be taking it day by day, I'm proud of him and the man he has become. Please continue to pray for him and his salvation. We're celebrating his birthday with a cookout at my Uncle Trippe's and a cake, and for all you football fans, I got him his beloved "Georgia Bulldog' items, as a Tennessee fan, it just sort of seemed WRONG!
